Hello Fair Future Movement!
We hope you’ve been enjoying these warmer days! Thanks to everyone that is showing up, speaking out, and supporting our neighbors in Minneapolis. Here are ways you can continue to support. The power of the people is greater than the people in power. ✊💜

Celebrate Black History Month
Watch movies, read books, attend events, etc, to learn about and celebrate Black history! Nearby Nature is hosting the 7th Annual African American Environmental Pioneer Awards on Feb 16th at 5:30pm to recognize Milwaukee’s Black environmentalists. Register here to attend in person or watch the livestream.
Restrict Non-Routine Law Enforcement
Milwaukee County is debating Resolution 26-255, a proposal to limit law enforcement staging in County parks by requiring prior authorization. Contact your County Supervisor in support of the resolution by Feb 5th and urge County Parks to deny non-routine law enforcement staging requests — especially ICE.
Gather In Unity
Community is more important now than ever. Join the Islamic Society of Milwaukee on Feb 8th at 2:30pm for an afternoon of reflection, resilience, and solidarity with Minneapolis, featuring Congresswoman Ilhan Omar. Gather on Feb 7th at 10:30am for Rush Mor Records’ Love in Action Rally. Be in community with us at our Fair Future Meetup on Feb 18th at 5:30pm at Reflo.
